It's almost Valentine's day! Have you decided how you're going to spend it with your special someone?
In contrast with other people's beliefs, you don't have to spend a lot of money for a fun, meaningful Valentine's date.
Here are a few suggestions on how you can spend the day without breaking the bank.
1. Go to a book store/ library
If your girl's a bookworm, she'll definitely enjoy this. You could spend the day looking for books and talking about your favorites. It's even more sweeter if you can find a little nook to read your picks. This way, you can get to know more about each other's interests and it'll live a memory only you can have! You'll end the day buying each other's favorite books as gifts.
2. Grab some coffee and desserts
If you both have a sweet tooth, having simple coffee and desserts will be the cherry on top. You can go visit a quaint cafe and embrace the loving ambiance on Valentine's day. If you want to do it somewhere private, you can spend the day at home making your favorite desserts yourselves.
It's easy, you can make no-bake pastries all day.

3. Game night
For the competitive couples, there's no other way to spend the day than with a challenge. You can spend the day keeping score playing DOTA, Just Dance, Pie Face, Basketball, the list goes on. Step up the cliche and have your favorite drink and snacks with you.
A game wouldn't be complete without on a prize! Decide what that special prize would be. At the end of the day, winner gets the prize plus bragging rights!
4. Window Shopping
Yes, everyone goes window shopping, but can you take it to the extreme? Visit your favorite designer brands and look for items you really want to invest in in the future.
Girls, I know how much you love Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton. Guys would want to try visiting Streetwear pop-up shops and look for Yeezys, Supreme or Vans.
Spend the day trying on looks and taking photos! You can then save this photos and post it to your mood board. This will serve as a wishlist for your partner that you can use the next time you need to give each other a gift!
5. Visit a Park/Museum
If you love the outdoors but don't have the budget for an out of town trip, try visiting a nearby park.
There are tons of parks out there.
If you want to see nature at its finest, try La Mesa Eco Park or Rainforest Park in Pasig.
If you love historic places, try Fort Santiago, Escolta or Binondo
For museums, try National Musem or Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo
Not only will you spend the day with your favorite person, you'll get to learn something along the way too.
