IT BLOGGER AIMEE SONG IS SM MAKATI'S NEW BRAND AMBASSADOR
Probably one of the best days of my life is getting to meet Aimee Song in the flesh.
Aimee is one of my favorite international bloggers. If you don't know her, she's one of the first fashion bloggers, like ever.
She's been blogging since 2008 with her handle Song of Style and now she has accomplished so much. She is part of Forbes "30 Under 30" list for 2016, has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Women's Wear Daily, Vogue Spain, among many others, has guest-edited Korean Vogue, and has always been seen - always seated in front row - at the most exclusive fashion events. And ever since I started blogging in 2010, she has been my inspiration when it comes to laid-back but striking style.
Aimee is also one of the few bloggers that has now transitioned to vlogging. So this post would not be completed without a mini chat with Aimee. Stay tuned for that video on our Youtube Channel.
So, enough about me and my obsession with Aimee. It's now time to talk about the #SMxAimeeSong launch.
Last July 1st, SM Makati officially launched Aimee Song as the brand new muse.
Joey Mead King hosted the event and Aimee played a little game, wherein Joey states a fashion trend and Aimee replies with a thumbs up, or a thumbs down.
Here are the trends that was asked:
Nude Matte Lipstick - she said it's hard for her to pull it off, but she has seen others do it, so it's a Thumbs Up!
Denim on Denim - Thumbs Up!
Wearing blue with black - Thumbs Up!
Mixing and Matching gold and silver accessories - Thumbs Up! She loves mixing her metals.
Wedges - Thumbs Up!
Exaggerated Lashes - Thumbs Down obviously, cause she's all about natural look.
Chokers - Thumbs Up! Yay, my love for chokers is approved.
Headbands - depends but she do love head scarves.
Nail Art - Thumbs Up for pretty patterns and colors not the long nails.
Bright and bold stripes - Thumbs Up!
Gingham - Thumbs Up!
Micropleats - Thumbs Up!
Sequins - Thumbs Down.
Patchwork - Thumbs Up!
Exposed shoulders - Thumbs Up! It's basically her signature.
Pajama dressing - Thumbs Up! Yay, for silk tops and bottoms.
Definitely going to try more of this trends on my daily looks.

My look is clearly inspired by Aimee Song's California laid back boho style. I was inspired by her Coachella 2016 look wherein she wore a lace+bell sleeves combo - two famous spring trends right now. Mine was an off shoulder + bell sleeves combo. I wore the top with a denim skirt and my new favorite lace-up flats.
Completed my look with a natural bronzy makeup and my messy wavy hair for that Aimee Song #CaliVibe.
Being Aimee as the new SM Store muse, it reminded me how important it is to celebrate everyone's personal style - and whatever your style is - you can find anything you need all in one store.
